Collaboration with the Universities in ASEAN

This NMT workshop are delivered in 2 workshop (Workshop 1 in February 2022) and Workshop 2 in July 2022) and aim to increase the knowledge, competencies, and skills of International Offices in Sumatera, Kalimantan, and Bangka Belitung, Indonesia (especially small-to-medium international offices) and relate them with the new emancipated educational policy in Indonesia.
The Workshops are delivered by a consortium of DIES alumni from Indonesia: Universitas Surabaya, Universitas Syiah Kuala, Universitas Ahmad Dahlan, Universitas Katolik Widya Mandala Surabaya, Universitas Jenderal Soedirman, and Universitas Indonesia. The committee members of this workshop are graduates of the Dialogue on Innovative Higher Education Series (DIES)-DAAD programs: Management of Internationalization (MoI) and International Deans’ Course (IDC).
By the end of the workshop, we expect to enable participants in: i) understanding the strong connection between internationalization within one’s own HEI and the new Emancipated Learning educational policy from the MoECRT, ii) nurturing a deep understanding of the concept of “Internationalization at Home” and its implementation, iii) practicing soft skills needed in building effective communication and managing potential problems in the fulfillment of HEI’s internationalization strategies, and iv) sharing best practices as well as expanding networks.
The target group is small-to-medium international offices in Sumatera, Kalimantan, and Bangka Belitung, Indonesia.
